Hi Abe — you make many inccorrect assumptions — let me help you with a few of them.

  1. Your views are contrary to the scientific consensus. I know that can be hard for people who have profited or who curretnly earn their income from a wasteful and fossil fuel subsidized system.
  2. Covid19 is not an existential threat. The worst case scenario is that it takes out 250 million people. A horrific tragedy but not an existential threat.
  3. While climate change, due to it’s slow motion nature, has certainly taken a backseat to this immediate crisis — you’re quite mistaken that nobody cares. But then again you might just be conversing with people who see the world like yourself, so your view is understandable.
  4. To use your word, that “activists”, (not sure how you define that) are rejoicing at this tragedy is not only misguided but says a lot about how you view the word.
