Hi Abe — you make many inccorrect assumptions — let me help you with a few of them.
- Your views are contrary to the scientific consensus. I know that can be hard for people who have profited or who curretnly earn their income from a wasteful and fossil fuel subsidized system.
- Covid19 is not an existential threat. The worst case scenario is that it takes out 250 million people. A horrific tragedy but not an existential threat.
- While climate change, due to it’s slow motion nature, has certainly taken a backseat to this immediate crisis — you’re quite mistaken that nobody cares. But then again you might just be conversing with people who see the world like yourself, so your view is understandable.
- To use your word, that “activists”, (not sure how you define that) are rejoicing at this tragedy is not only misguided but says a lot about how you view the word.
